TREASURES AND TREATS AT SCOPWICK!
With the summer holidays around the corner, why not dust down your picnic blanket and join artsNK and CountrysideNK for the launch of a brand new art and history trail around the village of Scopwick!
Nestling on the long distance Spires & Steeples trail, Scopwick has a wealth of historical treasures which have been turned into an interesting and fun trail.
From villagers’ recollections and records, Countryside Promotion Officer, Theresa Hobbs, has created a fact-filled leaflet to accompany a walk around the village.
Along the trail you will discover new engraved plaques, illustrated by artsNK’s Sarah Graves. The metal plaques are engraved so that walkers wishing to take away a memento of the trail can make pencil rubbings.
To celebrate the launch of the trail you can join Sarah and Theresa at 6pm on Wednesday 15 July as they set off to discover Scopwick’s Treasures!
The walk will start from the Stepping Out car park on Vicarage Lane in Scopwick and will finish in the adjacent playing field and adventure park. You are invited to bring along a picnic and enjoy live music whilst you sample your sandwiches and cake! For satnav users please use postcode LN4 3NT.
